Gary E. Risenhoover

Gary E. Risenhoover was born in East Prairie, Missouri, where he developed the discipline, curiosity, and faith that would shape the course of his life. After graduating from high school in 1968, he pursued higher education with a focus on mathematics, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education in Mathematics in 1972 and later a Master of Arts in Teaching in Mathematics in 1977.

For more than fifty years, Gary has devoted his life to education. The last thirty five of those years were spent teaching at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas, where he built a reputation as a dedicated teacher who cared deeply about helping others understand difficult subjects. Mathematics trained him to think carefully, search for truth, and value clarity. Those same qualities eventually shaped his approach to studying and writing about Scripture.

Gary is a devoted Christian and an active member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. Although he has no formal training as a writer, he felt compelled to begin writing about different aspects of the King James Bible. That decision did not come from a desire for recognition. It came from a personal hunger to know more. The more he studied, the more he felt responsible for sharing what he was learning with others.

His writing journey began with a simple but powerful motivation: he wanted to understand God's Word more deeply. That pursuit became a calling. Over time, it led him to produce several volumes that explore the truths, lessons, and guidance found within the King James Bible.

What makes Gary unique is not literary training or academic credentials outside the classroom. It is his intense desire to do his part to influence as many people as possible to turn to God as their leaning post in times of need. His work reflects a lifetime of faith, study, teaching, and a conviction that truth is meant to be shared.
