Anna Riedel is a writer based in Poznań, Poland. She studied English language and literature at Adam Mickiewicz University and later completed an MBA. After many years working in international business, she chose a more independent path and began devoting more of her time to writing.
Her books grow from personal experience, careful observation, and a deep curiosity about the lives people lead behind closed doors, and about the surprising stories hidden inside the ordinary world around us.
Her wider interests include family, change, language, human behaviour, and the unexpected histories behind familiar objects, words, and everyday habits. She is drawn to true stories that make readers pause, recognise something of themselves, or look at an ordinary part of life with fresh eyes.
Anna believes that understanding often begins with a second look, at another person, at a difficult experience, or at something so familiar that we have stopped noticing it.
She writes in Polish and English, and her books are also published for German-speaking readers.
