Qun Zhou, Ph.D., launched his career in academic research, working at universities and the National Cancer Institute, where he specialized in biochemistry and cancer biology. He later transitioned to the biopharmaceutical industry, dedicating over 25 years to advancing protein and antibody therapeutics. His expertise has contributed to the development of multiple protein or antibody medicines now used in clinics to treat patients with different diseases.
In addition to his work on approved therapies, Dr. Zhou has spearheaded research into innovative protein technologies with many patents, leading projects that harness these advancements for potential treatments targeting autoimmune disorders, inflammatory diseases, and cancer. His scholarly contributions include many scientific publications—spanning original discoveries, development of protein technologies, reviews, and book chapters—as well as the editing or authorship of two books. Most recently, he has served as a consultant for biotechnology companies.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Zhou enjoys reading, exercising, and hiking.
