Brett A. Thacker

Brett Thacker is an award-winning math TEACHER who specializes in making students smarter. Mr. Thacker is one of the last of his kind, a teacher who creates his own lessons, and whose results are backed up by the best test scores in the state of Nevada.

Brett’s journey into teaching started many years after he graduated college with a degree in Business Administration. Unfulfilled from jobs in retail management and liquor sales, he decided to realize a desire to teach so he enrolled in an alternate route to teaching program. Regrettably his main motivations were weekends, holidays and summers off, but soon he understood the significance and importance of dedicating his time and effort to teaching and improving the future of the students he served.

Through his 12 years of teaching, Mr. Thacker saw what was becoming of America’s education system and knew he had to do something about it. The book, Passed Without A Future, through satire and first hand experience, serves as a way for the public to see inside its schools from the perspectives of a student and a teacher.
