Don’t worry—I didn’t know anything when I started sewing, embroidery, or quilting either.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve asked more questions than I can count (apologies to every teacher at every class and retreat), made plenty of mistakes, and slowly figured out what actually works—and what doesn’t.

What I’ve learned is this: it’s not the machine, the thread, or the tools that make things confusing—it’s how everything works together. Once that clicks, everything gets easier.

My approach is simple: understand your materials, support them correctly, and keep things as clear and repeatable as possible.

I write my books to help you stop guessing, start creating, and actually enjoy the process.

If I can save you a few headaches (and a few ruined projects), then this was worth it.
