Wendy Chen

Wendy Chen, MD is a physician, mom, and passionate STEM educator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from MIT and her medical degree from Johns Hopkins.

As a neurologist, she understands that the early years are critical for brain development and believes learning should be joyful, memorable, and confidence-building. Inspired by her own children’s curiosity, she created the STEM Is a Blast! series to introduce kids to math and science through playful rhymes and engaging illustrations.

Through her books, she hopes to spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of STEM—one rhyme at a time.
