Dr. Matthew Stone is a sitting Arkansas State Senator representing District 2, president of Stone Timber Company, Inc., and a seventh-generation Arkansan. He holds a Doctorate of Theology, a Master's in Operation Management and Theology, a graduate certificate in Conflict Mediation, and a bachelor's degree in Forestry and Mine Management and Safety.
In 2025, Senator Stone sponsored legislation prohibiting antisemitism in Arkansas public schools, a direct extension of the convictions that drove him to write JerUSAlem. A member of Calvary Baptist Church and Sunday School teacher, Dr. Stone brings a rare combination of theological scholarship, legislative experience, and deep American roots to his examination of the biblical and historical ties between Israel, the Abrahamic Covenant, and the United States of America.
He and his wife reside in South Arkansas, where they enjoy their seven grandchildren, the outdoors, and homemade ice cream.
