A.M. Quinn

A.M. Quinn writes stories about family, survival, and the courage it takes to begin again. An adoptive mother of five, she brings both lived experience and years of work with children and families to her writing.

Her memoir, The Girls We Will Never Get to Meet, and her guide, What They Don’t Tell You About Foster Care, give voice to the complicated realities of foster care and adoption. Her children’s books make room for big feelings, belonging, and the wonderfully different ways kids experience the world. In her fiction, including The Silence Beneath, she explores the secrets families carry and what happens when the truth finally comes to light.

A.M. lives in New York’s Finger Lakes region with her wife, their children, and a house full of animals. Across every genre she writes, she hopes readers find something familiar in her pages, and the ability to feel a little less alone.
