Mike Eising

Mike Eising has more than 35 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry, with leadership roles spanning lenders, banks, and the secondary market, including Freddie Mac and Merchants Bank of Indiana. His work focuses on mortgage risk management, regulatory compliance, and building practical frameworks that help lenders manage risk while keeping loans moving.

Mike has authored NMLS education courses for mortgage loan originators for more than 15 years and is a published author in the Scotsman Guide. He is also the author of the book Rethink Everything You Know About Mortgage Risk and Compliance, which explores modern challenges in mortgage risk, compliance, and operational decision making.

He holds an MBA in Information Technology Management and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership, along with several industry designations including CMB, CRCM, CRMP, RCMS, and CRCM. In 2023, he received the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Ken Markinson Legacy Achievement Award for his contributions to mortgage compliance and risk management.
