Stephen Huls is a husband, father of five, and grandfather of four with over 33+ years of experience in drywall and finishing work. Throughout his career, he has worked on residential homes, commercial buildings, and specialty projects, developing a wide range of hands-on skills including hanging, finishing, and Italian plaster techniques.

His path to this trade was shaped by hard work, life challenges, and a deep commitment to supporting his family. Over the years, he has worked in multiple states, held contractor licenses, and built his career through real-world experience rather than a traditional path.

Now living in Monroe, Utah with his wife of over 35+ years, Stephen enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and exploring his interests in art, archaeology, and creativity.

Through his books, he shares practical knowledge and straightforward guidance for those learning drywall, taking on DIY projects, or looking to better understand the trade.
