Wayne E.G. Shepherd

I was born at a very young age in Bombay, India. My dad's heritage is English and Irish; my mum's is Portuguese. Consequently, at first glance, strangers think I might be Italian. When I was one year old, my family emigrated to London, England and there we stayed until I was eleven. At that point, we all decided to cross the ocean and settle in Toronto, Canada. This is where I live today. I refuse to emigrate anywhere else.

I knew I wanted to be a writer from about the age of ten. I also wanted to be a comic book artist. Thankfully, my lack of artistic talent ensured that I'd go down the writer path.

It's taken me many years to get THE LIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS into the hands of the reading public. I'm confident, though, that readers will feel that these years were time well-spent.
