Patrick J. Mahaffey, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus at Pacifica Graduate Institute, is a scholar of the comparative philosophy of religion and a long-term practitioner of contemplative Hindu yoga traditions, especially Nondual Shaiva Tantra. He is the author of Individuation and Beyond: Worldviews, God-images, and Self-Realization; Integrative Spirituality: Religious Pluralism, Individuation, and Awakening; and essays on Hindu and Buddhist mythos and comparative study self-inquiry in Jungian depth psychology and yoga sadhana.
My work explores the relationship between worldviews, God-images, psychological individuation, and spiritual awakening. Drawing from comparative religion, Jungian depth psychology, contemplative yoga, and integral spirituality, I write for readers seeking deeper self-understanding, psychological wholeness, and a more meaningful relationship to the sacred.
