I’m Cynthia Trosclair, and this is a true story about a boy who changed my life.

When my life fell apart, so did my faith. I was hurt, angry, and worn down in ways I didn’t know how to explain. I still believed in God, but I became convinced He no longer believed in me.

Then I met Jaren.

He had been handed a diagnosis that would terrify most people, yet somehow he carried a kind of faith I couldn’t look away from. There was wisdom in him that didn’t make sense for his age. He saw things. Understood things.

At times, it was hard to explain. He would say something simple, and it would land with a weight far beyond the words themselves. There were moments I would leave replaying a single sentence in my mind for days. His words had a way of finding me again later.

Somewhere along the way, his story became intertwined with my own.

This book was born out of that connection — out of doubt, suffering, faith, and the unexpected way one life can awaken something another thought was gone forever.
