Mei Liu and Kyong Han are the culinary duo behind Two Plaid Aprons, a popular food blog and social media brand known for approachable recipes and detailed guidance on traditional Asian and Asian fusion dishes.

Kyong is Korean and was born and raised in Louisiana. As a teenager, he traveled extensively, developing a deep appreciation for global cuisines. These experiences fueled his curiosity and passion for food, both as a reflection of culture and as a craft. After completing his formal culinary training, Kyong honed his skills under the guidance of several renowned chefs, further refining his expertise.

Mei, who is Chinese, grew up surrounded by food, learning traditional cooking from her grandmother in China and later working at her parents’ Chinese restaurant in the U.S. There, she mastered takeout-style dishes and adapted them for home cooking. Her experiences shaped her belief in food as both nourishment and joy, inspiring her culinary path.
