Tom Lee

Tom Lee is a Texas law enforcement officer with a career spanning patrol, investigations, and crisis response. Over the years, he has answered calls involving suicides, child deaths, violent encounters, and the everyday realities most people never see but first responders carry with them long after a shift ends.

His experiences in uniform, including surviving a crossbow attack in the line of duty, shaped not only his career, but his faith, identity, and understanding of resilience. Through those trials, he learned that survival and healing are not the same, and that strength often looks quieter than people expect.

Scars of the Badge is his first book, written to give an honest look at the human cost of the profession and to encourage open conversations about mental health, faith, and support for first responders.

When he’s not working or writing, Tom enjoys time with family, cooking, and mentoring others in law enforcement. He remains committed to serving his community and supporting those who wear the badge.
