D. Wayne Berman was born in New York City and has lived most of his life in large metropolitan areas. Since retirement, however, he lives on a farm in the mountains north of Los Angeles and now spends his time helping his partner tend to the animals and a large fruit orchard in addition to writing.
As an environmental scientist, before retiring, he had a long career analyzing the movement of pollutants in the environment to predict exposures and evaluate their health effects. He’s also had a continuing interest in politics and world affairs and is concerned about the direction of our nation. He has come to understand that the biggest obstacles to solving our problems are social and political rather than technical and he hopes to leave a better world to his daughter. Righteous Resistance is his first published novel.
