Rose Salseda

Dr. Rose Salseda is an assistant professor in the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University. Her scholarship analyzes the politics of race and the effects of violence, racism, and xenophobia on artists and their work. In addition, Dr. Salseda is a cofounder of the US Latinx Art Forum where she develops research and funding initiatives to support the field and its practitioners. As the fourth generation of her family to have been raised in Los Angeles, her scholarship and advocacy are inspired by her family and artist community in Southern California.
