Alistair Sutton

Alistair Sutton began writing for Bnews in Melbourne, under the masterful guidance of Bill Calder in the early 2000s. From there, he worked as a freelance writer for many Australian LGBTIQA+ publications nationally. Alistair was a regular contributor to Gary Dunne's gayebooks.com.au, now archived at the National Library of Australia, Canberra. Alistair's debut novel, The Day Before You Came, was #13 in The Bookshop Darlinghurst's top seller for 2020. Back to the Beach, a prequel to this earlier novel, was published in 2026. Alistair enjoys distance swimming and exercise, as long as it does not involve team sports. These days, he continues to write and lives quietly with his partner and dogs.
