TJ Retallick grew up immersed in the world of horses, spending his early years riding Hunter/Jumper and Eventing horses while developing a lifelong passion for equestrian sport. From the show ring to cross-country courses, TJ built his experience through years of dedicated training, competition, and horsemanship.
Over the years, TJ has taught competitive riding to students of all levels, helping riders develop confidence, technical skill, and strong partnerships with their horses. His background spans multiple disciplines, including Dressage, Hunters, Jumpers, and Cross Country riding, giving him a broad and well-rounded perspective on the sport.
Today, TJ lives in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with his beloved dog, Radar. When he is not writing, he travels across the country teaching riding clinics and continuing to share his passion for horses, training, and the equestrian lifestyle with riders nationwide. TJ’s stories are inspired by the emotional connection between horse and rider, the dedication required to pursue excellence, and the unforgettable relationships built inside and outside the arena.
