Helen Beebee

Helen Beebee is a philosopher based in Leeds. She has written and edited a bunch of academic philosophy books, but she's also written a couple of philosophy books for a general audience: Free Will: An Introduction (Palgrave Macmillan 2013) and Philosophy, Why it Matters (Polity 2019, with Michael Rush), which has so far been translated into Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic. She has also written a book with no philosophy in it to speak of, with psychotherapist Matthew Elton: Equality at Home: Why We Argue about the Washing-up and How to Stop (Buzzing Hell Press 2026).
