Dr. Kaleb Stoppel is an author, speaker, and mental health advocate whose life changed forever after surviving the 2022 shooting at Olathe East High School. Once a longtime educator and school leader, Kaleb now uses his story to encourage honest conversations about trauma, mental health, healing, identity, and hope.
His debut memoir, One Step at a Time, shares the deeply personal journey of rebuilding life after trauma and rediscovering what matters most through family, faith, connection, and purpose.
Today, Kaleb speaks across the country on resilience, belonging, mental health, and living meaningful lives without losing ourselves in the process. He also serves others as a financial advisor, helping individuals and families plan confidently for the future.
