Pierre Barthes is an internationally recognized luxury hospitality leader with more than four decades of executive experience across Asia, Europe, and North America. Named World’s Best Hotel General Manager in 2015, he built his career leading some of the world's most prestigious luxury hotels, including senior leadership positions with Regent Hotels & Resorts (then part of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts), Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and Raffles Hotels & Resorts.
Throughout his career, Pierre became known for his operational excellence, human-centered leadership style, and his ability to create service cultures that consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences. He has led multicultural teams, managed complex owner–operator relationships, and overseen iconic luxury hotels and mixed-use developments serving some of the world's most discerning travelers.
Drawing on decades of international experience, Pierre now shares his insights on leadership, service excellence, and the evolving meaning of luxury hospitality through writing, speaking, and advisory work. An active industry thought leader, he regularly contributes perspectives on the future of luxury hospitality, leadership, and customer experience. He holds an MBA and a professional doctorate in hotel management.
