Mary Presto is a children’s book author who believes that some of life’s most important lessons can be learned through simple stories.
Her books are written to entertain children while gently encouraging kindness, empathy, patience, sharing, and understanding. Many of her story ideas come from everyday experiences, childhood memories, and the people and things she has encountered throughout her life.
Mary especially enjoys creating characters and stories that help children see that everyone is different, everyone has a story, and we should never be too quick to judge someone.
When she isn’t writing, Mary enjoys gardening, photographing nature and wildlife, and finding inspiration in the world around her. She hopes her books bring children a little laughter, a little curiosity, and perhaps a meaningful lesson they can carry with them. Mary lives in Connecticut and continues to create stories designed to entertain, inspire, and help children see the good in themselves and others.
