Ramiro Mora

Ramiro Mora has been writing poetry all his life. As a child, he was surrounded by ornaments of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda and inspired by the playful rhymes of Dr. Seuss.

He wrote poetry and short stories as a teenager, receiving recognition, and, with time, and with influences including Leonard Cohen, Charles Bukowski, Irving Layton and Al Purdy, developed his distinctive “graffiti poetry” minimalist style to tell stories about the human condition and everyday events. His debut collection, “The Greyness of Good,” represents the culmination of this journey.

Ramiro regularly enters poetry contests and was longlisted for the 2025 CBC Poetry Prize. He is a world traveler and resides in Toronto with his family and is in love with his cat, Gary.
