Rafael Ramos

Rafael Ramos writes and illustrates children’s stories about identity, emotions, and belonging.

His first published book, Pluto Is Pluto, was born from a simple question:

“If the world changes the name of something… does it stop being what it truly is?”

As a father of two girls, Rafael creates stories inspired by the small conversations, questions, and discoveries that naturally appear throughout childhood, the kind that may seem simple to adults, but feel enormous to a child.

Besides children’s books, he also works with art, storytelling, and independent creative projects.
