I'm Brad Crawford. I will try to keep this long story short. I grew up in Pittsburgh in the 1950s.
After college I completed a Master's program at Harvard, where I was taught how to be a schoolteacher and a counselor.
I became a lousy teacher and a gifted counselor. After a failed marriage to a good woman, I hit the road, looking
for something greater than my conventional life. Finally in 1976 I bowed happily to the great spiritual
master, Adi Da Samraj. I have never left him and never will.
One result of this eternal connection is the writing of my only book (thus far), called "First Become Human:
Stories of Humor and Compassion." This book now appears on Amazon worldwide. My intention in writing it is to allow
readers to feel Adi Da as he is, in human terms, as well as Divine terms. Born in New York as "Franklin Jones", he
appeared in this world to awaken beings from suffering the illusion of separate self. Of course few people understand what'
that means, so i had to write the book.
In the book you will find 34 stories of the great teacher's playful but serious, humorous and compassionate interaction with humans and animals alike over many years. I claim that he was perfectly enlightened, but he always said "don't believe me", so I do not, and readers too should not. Just feel him through the book and decide for yourself.
I invite readers to submit reviews of the book, and to contact me with questions and ideas.
