Mike Gates

My name is Mike Gates. I am a Christian writer, poet, anointed speaker and worship guitarist. I gave my life to Jesus in September 1995 after a radical encounter with God. Since then I have served in church leadership positions as a pastor, youth pastor, care pastor, prison ministry, worship, media production and lead men’s ministry groups. I love to travel and I have done ministry throughout the U.S., Jamaica, Canada and Mexico.

My wife and I have 3 children and many grandchildren (still counting). We are the founders of Open Gates Ministries, a prophetic ministry with a vision to ignite hearts with the love of God. We both have a passion to see lives changed, saved, healed and delivered by God. I love spending time with my family, playing guitar, reading, and writing. My favorite scripture is Philippians 3:10. I am the owner of Prophetic Roar, a Christian media and publishing ministry, founded in 2004. I have also made a career working in I.T. with over 25 years experience.
