Dawn Newman

Dawn is a ‘professionally nosy’ journalist and communities engagement professional based in the North East. As the person who developed and led NCFE’s CACHE Alumni service for a number of years, Dawn is lucky enough to maintain a keen interest in Early Years and Education.

Dawn believes that animals can have a profound effect on our ability to slow down, connect and learn, and is regularly able to integrate animals into her practice as a yoga and wellness professional.

Outside of her current work at the Agile Business Consortium, where Dawn leads a Think Tank for agile thought leaders, Dawn has an interest in marketing, customer support and events organisation and has fun volunteering as a conservation farmer, and works with a local farming charity to help conserve rare and endangered breeds of pigs, chickens, sheep and goats.

Dawn is a board director for the British Pig Association and one of the authors of Animal-Assisted Learning: An Educator’s Guide.
