Alisa Zingerman

Alisa Zingerman started teaching Hebrew after moving to Germany in 2014 — feeling right at home with passionate learners who had fallen in love with the language but had no immersion environment to rely on.

What she discovered quickly: online learners need structure, precision, and materials built specifically for them — not adapted from ulpan courses designed for new immigrants. So she started building her own.

Over the next twelve years, she taught hundreds of students — first one-on-one, then in groups, then through The Hebrew Hub, the online school she founded. She developed a verb grouping system that finally made the most intimidating part of Hebrew feel manageable.

And then she arrived at a conclusion that surprised even her: no online course replaces a good textbook. The Hebrew Crash Course is her answer to that gap.

Alisa now lives in Tallinn, Estonia. Her live conversation program Just Speak is open to students ready to take their Hebrew from the page into real life.
