Dr. Olivier Ami is a Paris-based obstetrician-gynecologist with over twenty years of practice and thousands of deliveries. His 3D MRI images of a baby's skull and brain changing shape during birth (PLOS ONE, 2019) drew worldwide attention. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in diagnostic radiology, he taught neuroanatomy to fifth-year medical students at Paris-Sud University for five years. He created PREDIBIRTH, which simulates childbirth from a five-minute MRI at 37 weeks (Scientific Reports, 2023). His interests in computing and medicine span data science, end-to-end encryption, biomechanical simulation, AI models, and automated medical image segmentation, the focus of his Morphoia project. He co-authored Morts et handicaps cérébraux évitables à l'accouchement (2023), on preventable brain injuries at birth. In Machine Language Made Crystal Clear, he teaches assembly language through human analogies and introduces symechaiosis, a lucid human-machine symbiosis.
