Daniel Bailey

Daniel S Bailey is the author of Verden: Light and Shadow, the first novel in The Exordium Cycle.

He first created the world of Verden at the age of fourteen under the original title Krystilia: The Sons of Lucreshea. Inspired by fantasy worlds such as Final Fantasy, The Inheritance Cycle, Dungeons & Dragons, and Critical Role, he spent years expanding the setting through storytelling, worldbuilding, and tabletop role-playing campaigns before eventually bringing it to life as a novel series.

Having studied 3D Games Art at university, Daniel has always been passionate about visual storytelling, immersive worldbuilding, and character-driven fantasy.

Verden represents years of imagination, revision, and dedication—a world he hopes will endure for future generations of his family long after he is gone.
