Michael Zimmer

Michael Caedmon Zimmer has dedicated 26 years to Emergency Medical Services, serving the communities of rural Minnesota with compassion, commitment, and resilience. He spent three years as an Emergency Medical Technician before advancing to paramedic, where he has served for the past 23 years. Throughout his career, Michael has cared for patients during some of the most difficult and life-changing moments imaginable — from emergencies and tragedies to unexpected moments of hope and joy.

Over the years, his career has evolved beyond direct patient care into leadership, and he now serves as an Operations Supervisor, helping guide crews, support providers, and ensure quality care for the communities he serves. Working entirely in rural EMS has given him a unique perspective on the challenges, rewards, and realities of serving communities where providers often wear many hats and resources can be limited.

Through years of experience, Michael has learned that EMS is about far more than medicine — it is about people, relationships, and being present when others need help most.
