Elizabeth Ackerman

Elizabeth Ackerman is a West Village resident whose love for her neighborhood and her dog Maple inspired her debut children's book. A mother of two young children and devoted dog mom to Maple, Elizabeth found herself searching for a story that celebrated the specific magic of the place her family calls home. Not finding quite the right book, she wrote one herself. Small Dog, Big City is a rhyming love letter to the West Village. Through the eyes of one small but brave dog, we learn that even the biggest city is full of heart if you just look around.
