Alex Ruby is a recovering trial attorney who spent 15 years litigating cases in the courtroom. She writes dark psychological thrillers driven by female rage, exploring the lives of strong women who refuse to back down.

Her debut novel, 'She Emerged,' blends her real-world legal expertise with sharp, investigator-driven suspense.

Alex attended the Seton Hill MFA program in Writing Popular Fiction. Born in Toronto and having lived in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., she now resides on Hilton Head Island, where she runs a local nonprofit, plays pickleball, writes fiction, and causes good trouble.
