Henk Campher has lived in enough different worlds to know they don’t talk to each other nearly enough.

The streets of prison compounds in Apartheid South Africa. A farm without electricity where he fell in love with simplicity. Cape Town during the anti-Apartheid movement. Post-Apartheid unionist and creator of Nelson Mandela’s Proudly South African campaign. Work in Lusaka, Chihuahua, Beijing, Bamako, Seoul, Brussels, and more. Lived in London, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Hawaii. Anti-apartheid activist to corporate CMO. Trade unionist to startups. NGO work to computational drug discovery.

He writes from the seams of our world. The places where what people say and what they do stop matching. Where silence becomes a choice, and then a habit, and then a cage.

This is where that writing lives. Fiction. Process. The occasional thing he saw or lived that needed words before it disappeared.
