Simone Banci

Simone Banci was born on August 30, 1964, and currently lives and works in Florence, Italy, at a children's hospital.

Previously, he gained professional experience in different fields and countries. In fact, he worked as a financial advisor for a bank in Italy, taught Italian language and culture in Mexico, and also managed a restaurant and catering business there.

He is the author of the autobiographical book “Hanging by a Thread of Hope”, which recounts the experience of his children being abducted by their mother and taken to Mexico. The book retraces the entire story and the painful, adventurous journey that took him through Switzerland, Mexico, Italy, and the United States.

He later wrote “The Journey with Me” for an association and under the patronage of the Tuscany Regional Government. It is a novel for young readers that tells the imaginative, original, and unusual journey of a boy through the places where the world's major religions originated, filled with adventures and discoveries.

Subsequently, he wrote “Little Gabriele Against the Dark Force”, a book suitable for readers of all ages but written with children around ten years old in mind. It tells the story of a young boy who, through the purity of his heart, manages to defeat evil by overcoming daring and imaginative challenges with the help of his loyal friend Dado.

He also collaborated with an elementary school by writing the story of the first five years of education of a fifth-grade class.

Writing, besides being a source of pleasure, allows him to channel and transform the powerful emotions that life presents.
