Shane McNeil

Dr. Shane A. McNeil is President and Chairman of the Board of the Sentinel Research and Policy Institute, a 501(c)(3) research organization, and Principal of Matador Strategies LLC. He holds a Doctor of Statecraft and National Security from the Institute of World Politics and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from the University of North Dakota, where he was a Pat Roberts Intelligence Scholars Program Fellow. His counterintelligence career spans more than two decades across the U.S. Army, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Joint Staff, where he served as a counterintelligence policy advisor. He is the author of Cybersecurity: Data Privacy in the Age of Digital Communication (Cognella, 2024) and Guarding the Republic (2026), and teaches in the Department of Emergency Management, Homeland Security and Criminal Justice at Columbia Southern University.
