Simone Roeder

Simone Roeder is a long-haul business jet pilot, former midwife, and author based in Hong Kong. Born in the former East Germany, she helped bring more than 3,000 babies into the world before making the bold decision to change careers and become a professional pilot.

When she’s not flying, Simone enjoys exploring new countries, learning languages, photography, and cheering for her beloved FC Bayern Munich. Her travels continue to inspire the stories she writes.

Her debut memoir, From Midwife to Pilot, tells the remarkable true story of her journey from the delivery room to the flight deck—a story of courage, determination, and the belief that it is never too late to reinvent yourself. More books are already on the horizon.
