Raymond C Marra

Raymond C. Marra grew up in Westport, Connecticut, shaped by the contrasting influences of European tradition and American culture. Raised by intellectually rigorous and principled parents, he learned early the values of discipline, education, independence, and personal responsibility—lessons that would both challenge and guide him throughout his life.

His career spanned decades in enterprise technology and corporate sales, where autonomy, results, and trust mattered more to him than hierarchy or conformity. Known for his analytical instincts and pragmatic judgment, Raymond built a professional life rooted in problem-solving and resilience, earning credibility.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Raymond remains deeply connected to family, tradition, and reflection. Experiences with loss, responsibility, and perseverance have shaped his worldview and his writing.

Finding My Way in Westport is his first book. It is an effort not to idealize the past but to understand it—exploring how identity is formed through culture, expectations, struggle, and resilience.

Raymond lives in Connecticut with his wife, Laura. He is most proud of his daughter, Katherine Grace.

When not writing, he enjoys sailing, skiing, and traveling, as well as the rituals that give structure and meaning to everyday life.
