Chuck Queen

I am a retired Christians minister (M.Div. D. Min) who began as an evangelical. Somewhere along the way my conditioned beliefs gave way to a more inclusive and progressive understanding. For the last 21 years of my ministry I led a moderate Baptist congregation to become progressive theologically and to engage the great social justice issues of our time. I retired in July of 2023.

For well over a decade now I have been immersed in the perennial wisdom, contemplative, and mystical traditions. My more recent book on the Gospel of Thomas published in March, 2026 emerged from this influence, which has profoundly impacted my life. I am currently working on another book that will present Jesus as an archetype and model for an evolutionary journey of awakening.

My wife, Melissa and I have three adult children and three grandchildren. Our daughter Julie has Down Syndrome and lives with us in Frankfort, KY.

My hobbies are bass angling, reading the fantasy novels of Brandon Sanderson, and being a fan and now a season ticket holder of the Cincinnati Bengals. I post regularly on Facebook as Chuck F. Queen and you are welcome to follow me and send me a friend request.
