Danilo Arba is a Global PMO and Programme Executive with over 25 years of experience leading infrastructure, engineering, and consulting operations across the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. With cumulative responsibility for portfolios exceeding USD 200 billion, he has a proven track record of building, scaling, and integrating PMO capabilities as a strategic business line within major organizations.
Recognized for industrializing PMO operating models across geographies, Danilo is at the forefront of embedding AI-enabled decision frameworks that improve predictability, executive insight, and governance performance. He operates at the C-Suite level, leading the establishment of new geographic markets and the development of centralized standards and Centres of Excellence that scale consistently across diverse operating environments. He has held senior leadership roles at Mace Group, Piemme Group, and DAV Consulting.
Combining his operator credentials with thought-leadership, Danilo serves as the Global PMO Ambassador for AIPMO and served as Trustee for the ICMS Coalition. He is currently a doctoral researcher (DBA) at the Politecnico di Milano Business School, focusing on Reflexive Algorithmic Governance in Complex Programme Environments, where he also serves as a Lecturer on PMO evolution, digital transformation, and AI implementation.
He is the author of the forthcoming book, "Thinking with Machines — Building AI-Enabled PMOs for the Age of Intelligent Project Leadership," which explores how AI augments, rather than replaces, human governance in project-driven organizations. Danilo holds an Executive MBA from Politecnico di Milano and multiple certifications in project management and AI. He operates fluently across multiple sectors, including construction, transport, energy, and smart cities.
