Born when cell phones didn't exist, I relied on my imagination and the great outdoors to fuel my childhood. Yes, I am one of those feral GenXers and I stayed outside in the wild places until the sun went down or until my mom called me in for dinner. I honed my storytelling by performing them for the cows, chickens and dogs on our farm. The were very attentive audiences, lol. Of course, I also have ADD so my attention span was literally 3 seconds (my mom timed it) and I preferred my dreams to reality. Fortunately, my parents were patient and taught me to focus.

Thanks to that lesson I managed to survive school, became a healer (massage therapist) then a merchant (salesclerk for a jewelry store then convince store) and now I am a scribe. I am my family's DM, although they are farmers, so the sessions are few and far between. Annoying but unavoidable. This, however, has led to my unique solution. Instead of a campaign I have an NPC that runs a tavern/inn that is also the home base of her adventure guild. This allows me to do one shots that get done in a night rather than months.
