Moacir Kripka

I am a civil engineer with a Ph.D. in structures from USP, Brazil. I am a full professor at the University of Passo Fundo, Brazil, with more than three decades of experience in teaching and research in the field of structural engineering.

I am the author of the books "Optimized and Sustainable Structural Design" and "Structural Analysis for Civil Engineering and Architecture (in Portuguese), currently in its fourth edition. My research focuses on structural engineering, structural optimization, sustainable design, and multi-criteria decision making. I have published more than 250 scientific articles in international journals and conference proceedings.

In addition to my teaching and research activities, I serve on the editorial boards of international scientific journals and collaborate with universities and funding agencies in the evaluation of academic programs and research projects. Through my books, I seek to bridge the gap between research and engineering practice, making advanced concepts in structural engineering accessible to students, researchers, and professionals.
