From youth, Pebble S. Spruce has been fascinated by all things with Ancient Egypt. Exploring the Pyramids of Giza not only honoured his inner child but sparked many of the adventures and connections highlighted in his Melody of the Triad Trilogy.​

An avid traveller, Spruce has been to numerous countries. Each country represents a new culture, a new adventure and a new story waiting to be told.

Spruce’s adventures and lived experiences provided the spark for his fantasy male-male romance series. From the pyramids of Egypt to the mountains of Machu Picchu, readers and travellers can find elements of our world within his beloved realm of Raia.

As a queer individual, he recognizes the importance for readers to see themselves in the books they read. He hopes readers can identify with the struggles, celebrations and joy shared among his panoply of queer characters.

He wants readers to remember that above all else, the Melody of the Triad trilogy is a love story.

Epic fantasy novels, such as The Fionavar Tapestry (Guy Gavirel Kay) and poetic historical fiction such as The Song of Achilles (Madeline Miller) are profound inspirations for the Melody of the Triad Trilogy.
