Chi Yuen

Chi Yuen has walked the path of Nichiren Buddhism for thirty-eight years — not as a passive observer, but as a living practitioner who has tested each principle in the crucible of everyday life: in relationships, in the workplace, in moments of celebration, and in seasons of profound loss.

In his early twenties, Chi embarked on a wide-ranging spiritual search, exploring the landscapes of Pure Land Buddhism and the meditative depths of Tibetan Buddhism. Each tradition offered genuine wisdom, yet something within him kept reaching further — searching for a practice that was not merely theoretical but viscerally alive. That search reached its destination in 1988 when he was introduced to the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin.

Chi found in Nichiren's philosophy a revolutionary truth: that the highest state of enlightenment is not a distant reward reserved for the few, but an inherent quality of life itself — accessible to anyone, in any circumstance, right now. Over the decades, his practice matured from a matter of faith and doctrine into a dynamic tool for personal growth, self-understanding, and creative living.
