Devin Halden

Devin Halden is an author, animator, and storyteller who has spent his career pushing the boundaries of independent media and narrative design. As the lead writer and animator at Pixovi Animation Studio, Devin breathes life into animated films, series, and commercials, constantly exploring new ways to connect with audiences. His obsession with the mechanics of a great story led him to team up with Adam Jones to co-host the weekly StoryOsophy podcast and design the Story Blūprint app, a versatile digital workspace built to help fellow writers map out complex, non-linear plots.

Devin’s creative roots run deep in the indie filmmaking scene. In 2005, he founded the Solstice Film Festival in Minnesota, a venture praised by Variety for its daring programming that successfully pioneered early online VOD streaming. He later launched the Pixovi Movie Network to introduce "Social Cinema," allowing film lovers worldwide to watch and chat together in virtual theaters. Throughout his career, Devin has worked alongside major studios like Warner Bros. and DreamWorks, always advocating for distribution models that keep creative control and IP rights in the hands of the storytellers. With Driftwood, Devin once again collaborates with Adam Jones, bringing their decades of world-building and cinematic experience to the page in an exciting new adventure.
