Steve Cassidy

Steve Cassidy is a former US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician turned defense manufacturer, entrepreneur, and operator-focused innovator. After years on the front lines dealing with real-world threats, he saw a gap between the gear being issued and the reality of the mission. That gap became his mission.

Steve is the founder of EOD Gear, a defense manufacturing company specializing in explosive ordnance disposal tools, breaching equipment, and mission-critical solutions for military, law enforcement, and public safety professionals. Under his leadership, EOD Gear has grown into a nationally recognized manufacturer with ISO 9001:2015 certification and is a GSA contract supplier, with in-house capabilities spanning CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and rapid prototyping.

In 2026, Steve was named SBA Small Business Person of the Year for the state of Tennessee and received a formal proclamation from the City of Franklin, Tennessee, recognizing his contributions to manufacturing, innovation, and the local community.

Steve’s approach is simple: build what works, fix what doesn’t, and never accept “good enough” when lives are on the line.
