H. Easson

H. Easson is a New Zealand author whose debut middle-grade novel, The Legend of Jack Riddle, was published in the UK and the U.S. by Capstone and Raintree. The novel received a Kirkus Star. She writes atmospheric fiction that blends mystery, history and the supernatural, from romantic fantasy to contemporary novels with historical intrigue and compelling love stories.

Inspired by folklore, literature and the hidden histories of real places, her work explores love, loss, resilience and the enduring influence of the past. Her stories are rooted in richly imagined settings where ancient legends, forgotten secrets and human relationships intertwine.

Alongside her writing, H. Easson is an experienced voice artist and the voice of advertising for Lexus, Toyota's luxury automotive brand, in New Zealand. She lives in Auckland with her husband and son, where she teaches English and is always planning her next novel.
