B. L. Baker

B. L. Baker was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana to a young mother, and a reckless father. After their divorce it became he and his mother against the world.

B. L. spent most of his childhood hiding out in whatever hovel his mother could afford. Somehow, and with the help of family, she made it work.

Being a latch key kid B. L. spent most of his time watching television until one day his mother came home with a box of books. His reading scores were low, and his mother demanded he read every one of those books by summer's end. Of course, seeing as there were a lot of books in that box, and being labeled with a learning disability, B. L. is a slow reader; they were not all read in that short span of time.

He did get through quite a few however, the first of those was Flowers in the Attic by V. C. Andrews. (Somewhere in the world Stephen King just passed out.) Don't worry Daddy King, your novel IT was next.

Both books had a profound effect on him, and he has spent the rest of his life devouring anything and everything he can on the complexities of the human condition. Diving into Theater, Improv, Stand up, and writing.

B. L. Baker still resides in Indianapolis with his beloved ride or die Georgie. A 90-pound Treeing Walker Coonhound. Together they make a dynamic duo, or hot mess express, depending on the day.
