Pedro Cordero

In April 2018, Mr. Pedro D. Cordero retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after serving 27 years as a FBI Special Agent, specializing in complex investigations in counterterrorism, public corruption, financial institution fraud, and cyber intrusions. Prior to retiring, Mr. Cordero served as the FBI National Academy Cybersecurity Leadership Instructor. Mr. Cordero previously served as the Assistant Section Chief for the FBI Cyber Division (CyD) Cyber Criminal Section, CyD National Security Section, CyD Operational Support Section, and served as the Deputy Director of the FBI National Cyber Investigative Task Force. Mr. Cordero served a joint-duty posting to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Counterterrorism Center (CTC), led a FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), a FBI Public Corruption Squad, served in the FBI Usama Bin Laden Unit before, during, and after the 9/11/2001 attacks, and served as a field SWAT Operator and Special Agent Bomb Technician. Mr. Cordero is the recipient of the 2003 Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service and the 2012 Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service. Mr. Cordero is the author of two cybersecurity leadership books, "Hacking the Cyber Threat - A Cybersecurity Primer for Business Leaders and Executives: and "Hacking the Cyber Threat - A Cybersecurity Primer for Law Enforcement Leaders and Executives".
